Congratulations to Tiffany Johnston who was awarded her umpiring National B badge this weekend on our Senior A finals game. This is a massive achievement for Tiff and a very proud moment for everyone involved at Eurobodalla Netball Association as Tiff is the first umpire to be awarded a B Badge on a Eurobodalla game.
This recognition of Tiff’s high level of umpiring has come after many months of travel, talent identification, coaching, and mentoring that Tiff has received.
Tiff has made countless trips to Sydney to umpire and continues to finesse her skills through much coaching and mentoring from high-level umpires. Tiff was identified after umpiring at the JST last year for Eurobodalla and was selected as part of the Umpire Development Group, unfortunately, the practical components of this identification program were canceled. However, Tiff has committed much of her own time to seek out other development opportunities. Tiff has recently spent a week in Port Macquarie umpiring and engaging in coaching, as part of her selection as the CIS umpire for the PSSA competition. Tiff has also umpired at local Schools Cup days as well as Regional Schools Cup finals where she again received feedback and was identified as an up-and-coming skilled umpire. We congratulate Tiff on this well-deserved badging.
Thank you to Laura Hay (National A) who traveled down to Eurobodalla to assist with this badging. Thank you to Chris Hall at Netball NSW for making this possible for us. Congratulations Tiff, we look forward to seeing where your umpiring journey continues!
