Jewellery & Finger nails

Hi clubs, players & team officials

We would like clubs to please remind their players of the following rules :

(iv) Players may not wear anything that could endanger themselves or other players, specifically:

(a) No adornment or jewellery may be worn other than a wedding ring which must be covered with tape

(b) A medical alert bracelet may be worn provided it is covered with tape

(c) Fingernails must be short and smooth

(gloves cannot be worn to cover long nails & can be asked by umpires to remove to check nail length

(d) Hair must be suitably tied back

We have noticed that some players have been wearing small earrings in the middle of their ear

•Unless these earrings are for medical reasons, and you must have a medical certificate to back that up, they are not to be worn at all and cannot be taped

If you have any questions please email ENA
